GOALS
	Facilitate a redevelopment project on Willets Point that will: - Make Flushing more of a destination in the region - Take advantage of the site's excellent accessibility by car and public transportatin - Provide new jobs for local residents - Improve the environmental quality of the peninsula - Capitalize on the site's proximity to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park,   Shea Stadium, and the National Tennis Center - Enhance development of the waterfront and Downtown Flushing
RECOMMENDATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION
			Work with existing businesses on relocation options
			Issue a Call for Ideas to solicit a broad range of compelling ideas from the development community
			Prepare a strategy for site acquisition and remediation and identify funding
			Explore the possibility of a development authority in conjunction with the state of New York to plan and develop the site
